  • Managed the 2008 – 2012 California energy storage pilot programs for 20 MW Peak Load Shift (Shift and Save) for PGE, SCE, and SDGE.
  • Managed the unique and very successful 2MW California Gas Cooling pilot program for Permanent Peak Load Reduction using for SDGE.
  • Managing the Boulder County ARRA funded commercial and residential customer efficiency incentive programs.
  • Managing the Imperial Irrigation District commercial and residential customer efficiency and demand reduction programs.
  • Led Southern California Gas Company sponsored gas cooling pilot research project team that placed and monitored advanced gas cooling technology  for commercial and residential units.
  • Cypress developed and managed $18.5M efficiency and demand reduction plan for a Nevada electric utility. The project obtained more than 50 percent market penetration for new construction high efficiency residential AC units and a 33 percent market penetration for retrofit AC units.
    • Gained market participation of over 28 separate regional builders, five key technology providers and 150 contractors.
    • Installation of more than 60,000 tons of cooling and 25,000 central air conditioners producing peak energy savings of 45,000 megawatt-hours annually.
  • Cypress managed the SCE HVAC retrofit program targeting new construction commercial markets.
  • Cypress was project manager for an AC Load Management DR program for a Nevada utility.
  • Cypress  implemented the Nevada TOU Rate program for its 600,000 eligible customers.
  • Assisted an Australian utility in the development of a technology-based ESCO start-up business in Sidney.
  • Created a state-based gas efficiency program for Southwest Gas and worked with Arizona Corporate Commission staff to develop policy.
  • Served as implementation contractor of an integrated gas and electric efficiency program in Northern Nevada (Sierra Pacific).
  • Provided technical and contract review services for the state of Nevada for all public facilities, colleges and prisons for all State ESCO work. Including:
    • Detailed reviews of proposed energy savings technologies, Measurement & Verification methods, newly installed savings technologies and projected installation schedules.
    • Deliver annual M&V reconciliation reports.
  • Wrote and helped execute multiple investment-grade business plans completed by the principals in relation to the creation of non-regulated utility businesses focused on comprehensive utility (water, gas, electric, waste) efficiency services.
