FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CYPRESS, LTD, IN PARTHERSHIP WITH NEVADA POWER, TRANSFORMS ENERGY EFFICIENCY IN LAS VEGAS.

Las Vegas, NV- In a nod to consumer's on-going interest in energy conservation, Nevada Power, working in partnership with Cypress, Ltd. is filed for significant increases in their High Efficiency Air Conditioning Rebate Program. The program helps local builders and homeowners defray the costs of installing high-efficiency air conditioning units. Since its launch, Cypress, Ltd. and Nevada Power have taken the program from $1.9M in 2003 to $4.6 million in 2005 and $15 million in 2006.

The increases in the High Efficiently Air Conditioning Rebate Program provide a substantial contribution towards meeting energy renewal targets as outlined in the recently passed "SS-AB3" legislation. Over the next fifteen years, the increases will save over sixty million gallons of water per year and reduce the emissions of harmful CO2 into the atmosphere by 70,000 tons per year. These figures reflect a KWh reduction of 22.5 million in 2005 and 75 million in 2006 alone. Additionally, Nevada Power's High Efficiency Air Conditioning Rebate Program will annually reduce peak KW by approximately 15,600 and 44,400 in 2005 and 2006, respectively.

Since its inception, the program has had a significant impact on the attitudes and purchasing patterns of local builders and homeowners. A win/win situation for all, the High Efficiency Air Conditioning Rebate Program will influence the installation of over 25,000 units in the first half of 2006 and is expected to impact over 80% of new homes built in Las Vegas area over the period the program is filed to cover.
