Cypress Gets Nod From Nevada Power For 2005 Residential Air Conditioner Program.
January 2005-Cypress, Ltd. has again been selected by Nevada Power to manage and implement its 2005-2007 High Efficiency Residential Air Conditioner Program. The program will distribute over $1.5 million in cash rebates annually to residential consumers to improve air conditioner efficiency.
"We're highly pleased to be working with Nevada Power again in 2005," stated Alex Bisbee, Vice President of Cypress, Ltd. "This is our third year working with Nevada Power and the program has grown and exceed utility savings' goals and improved customer satisfaction each and every year."
Cypress will work closely with Las Vegas-area contractors, homebuilders, distributors, and manufacturers to promote and market high efficiency air conditioners to residential consumers. Consumers will be eligible for cash rebates that range from $130 to over $1,000 per household. The program is specifically designed to foster the adoption of cutting-edge efficiency technologies, and units that exceed 16 SEER will be eligible for the largest rebates. The Cypress Customer Service Center will handle all customer questions, sign-up, rebate disbursement, and, most importantly, report all program activity real-time using an innovative online "dashboard" that will give utility management the reporting and accountability it requires.
"Our goal this year includes achieving reductions in peak energy by upwards of 10 MW for Nevada Power," adds Bisbee. "Additionally, we're driven to exceed customer satisfaction, customer participation, and other regulatory goals to ensure the program is successful for our client, Nevada Power."
